What do I need to bring?
Sewing project; the material and pattern with instructions (if applicable/ depending on skill level).
Habberdashery (zips, binding, buttons etc needed for the project)
Sewing machine (if you want to use your own).
Sewing kit (Fabric scissors, thread, needles, pins, tape measure etc).
Is there parking near by?
Yes, free parking on the road outside and in the free car park opposite the Portland centre. (Behind the Co-op car car park).
What are the class times?
Morning sessions
9.45am - 12.45pm
Afternoon sessions
1.00pm - 4.00pm
Students can choose either morning or afternoon sessions or to stay all day.
Do the classes follow school term times?
No, I run the class every Friday apart from a two week break at Christmas and in August. Occasionally the class will not run if the room is reserved by the church.
Is there storage at the hall?
Unfortunately not. You must look after your own belongs and bring them with you each week. Draft drape & make does not hold any responsibility for loss or damage of your property.
Is there disabled access?
The Portland centre is accessible to wheelchair users. Disabled toilets and double doors with no stairs or steps giving easy access.
How many sessions do I need to book?
From just one in a month to every session available in that month- (which will unlock discounts too!) There is no commitment to continue. Just book month by month.
What if I miss a session?
No problem! You will be credited a class that you can book within four months of missing the class. This must be booked (subject to availability) when booked with a block booking of a minimum of four sessions in one month.
